SURVIVORS
QUESTIONNAIRE
Dear Friends
I am conducting a brief survey (see
the questionnaire below) of
‘survivors’ of the Nazi persecution in Europe. The
survey deals with documenting their achievements subsequent to the arrival in the
United States.
As you probably sensed, based on your own experience, a large segment of ‘Survivors’
did comparatively well in this country. Matter of fact, there appears to be an
unusually high incidence of positive and in many instances remarkable
contribution of the survivors to the American economy, arts and sciences. In
this study, I hope to determine whether this
impression is correct and if so to document it. The information will then be disseminated
by means of proper publication. I hope that these
findings will stimulate further studies to determine the underlying mechanisms
for this phenomenon.
Your help in this quest will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Emil Steinberger, M.D. (survivor)
